Everyday facial care
What first: toner or micellar lotion? A better cream or serum? Or maybe a butter or oil? Peeling and mask – for everyday or for holidays? How to choose the right products and how to combine them? We have a way for you to have a skin care routine that will only take a few minutes a day, but your skin will thank you for it!
Evening facial care
We suspect that you are reading this text during the day or in the evening, not when you are sleeping, so we will start differently than everyone else – with evening care. It’s in the evening that we usually have more time to focus at least a little, and what state your skin will “go to sleep” in is crucial in skin care.
Step 1: facial cleansing – the first step
Which of us has never in her life gone to bed with an unwashed face or – worse – in makeup, let her be the first to throw a stone! But what was, is gone – today you surely know how important it is in daily skin care to thoroughly cleanse your complexion. Makeup removal is necessary even when you don’t paint yourself. Excess sebum, sweat, impurities, bacteria, sunscreen – all this should disappear from the skin before night regeneration.
Various cosmetics will work well in the first stage of cleansing, choose the one whose form suits you best. It can be:
- Micellar liquid – such as natural micellar water LaQ Blanket Peony, with neutral pH, designed for all skin types
- oil – don’t be afraid of it, during makeup removal the oil is on your face for a short enough time that it has no right to clog you up (you can even use edible oil from your own kitchen)
- makeup remover milk – a creamy texture will suit you if you do not like a greasy layer on your skin
Step 2: facial cleansing – second stage
- Face wash mousse – a great choice for sensitive and delicate skin (e.g. LaQ mousses: moisturizing, nourishing, cleansing, soothing, revitalizing, intensive moisturizing).
- Foam face wash – an option for very delicate skin
- Face wash gel – a more concentrated option, for non-problematic skin
- white clay – an option favored by acne-prone skin
Step 3: toning the face
Regular facial cleansing can dry out the skin and damage its hydrolipidic mantle. Tonic or hydrolat helps restore its proper pH. Toning also refreshes the complexion, tightens pores, but also improves the effect of the active ingredients of face creams, serums or oils. Natural tonic in a mist LaQ Blanket Peony will be perfect for you, even if you have sensitive skin.
Step 4: serum
Sera have higher concentrations of active ingredients than creams, and their texture is noticeably lighter. Their use improves and intensifies daily care, it is worth having several types on the shelf and using them alternately. Take a look at what sera the LaQ laboratory has prepared for you – there are as many as 11 of them!
Step 5: cream
Only in this step do we apply something stereotypically associated with the base of care, namely a cream. Moisturizing, nourishing, anti-aging? For dry skin, normal skin, acne-prone skin? This cosmetic must be perfectly matched to your skin type.
Step 6 (optional): facial oil or butter
Oils and butters work great as a finishing touch to your skin care, but if you don’t like the feeling of a light film on your face, you can skip this step. Check out LaQ’s butters – they stand out for their really refined ingredients and unique fragrances.
Morning facial care
We usually have much less time for skin care in the morning than in the evening, but it is worth trying to remember all the necessary steps. They are almost the same as in evening care – in short: skip the serum and add SPF cream.
Step 1: facial cleansing
Here, products from the second stage of evening care will work well.
Step 2: toning the face
Just like in the evening, after cleansing your face in the morning, you also need to restore your skin’s pH properly.
Step 3: cream
Despite its creamy texture, a face primer is not a cream! So, even if you do makeup every day (or maybe even especially then), a cream, serum or an individual mix of both must go on your skin. For daytime, serums with a light texture, such as the gel-like Ice Awake Serum or Biome Serum or the creamy Lady in Red Serum, are great. These products calm the skin beautifully and are ideal under makeup. Princess Serum and Royal Serum (both creamy) in the summer can be a great substitute for a cream before applying SPF sunscreen.
Step 4: SPF cream
We must remember that UVA radiation, which is responsible for aging of our skin, occurs all year and all day, not just in the middle of sunny days. If you use a cream with SPF that also has moisturizing ingredients, you can safely skip step 3. After the sunscreen, you can finally apply your favorite makeup.
